Cape Girardeau

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • William Moffett, 22, of 1437 N. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and probation violation and probation absconder.
  • Teri L. Poole, 42, of 1111 Harmony St., was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (Demerol), possession with intent (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Michael A. Welker, 59, of 1459 Rand St., was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Clarence E. Geiger III, 17, of 1126 S. Ellis St., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine for no operator's license and contempt of court for failure to pay fine for prohibited acts (noise disturbance).
  • Erin P. Spencer, 26, of Chesterfield, Mo., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jerry J. Schweitzer, 46, of 1825 Margaret St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation.
  • Chad L. Woollums, 28, of 170 Ozark St., was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Joshua N. Owen, 20, 2801 Bloomfield Road, No. 75, was arrested on a Poplar Bluff, Mo., warrant for failure to appear.

Assaults

  • A domestic assault was reported.
  • An assault, burglary and property damage were reported.

DWIs

  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, illegal turn and stop sign violation.
  • Christopher L. Hoeller, 40, of 1926 Westwood Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at stop sign and unlawful turn.

Thefts

  • A 1992 gray Saturn four-door car was reported stolen at 219 N. Henderson Ave.
  • Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported a theft of televisions.
  • Kidds II, 103 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Rhodes 101, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Cash was reported stolen at 3237 William St.

Property damage

  • A residential window was reported damaged at 816 Good Hope St.

Miscellaneous

  • A 44-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • Mutual aid request was reported.
  • Littering was reported.

Sheriff

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Marshal L. Johnson, Sr., 40, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for assault and trespassing.
  • Joshua M. Vaughan, 18, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for assault.
  • John F. Johnson, 35, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation driving while suspended.
  • Todd R. Rowland, 37, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for attempted improper communication with a juror and attempted perjury in a procedure involving a felony.
  • Ryan J. Cruz, 18, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for burglary and stealing.

Jackson

The following items were reported by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jerry Summers, 30, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Jackson warrant for contempt of court.
  • Leotis S. Allen, 21, of 407 East Lane, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, driving while revoked, speeding and failure to maintain insurance.

Thefts

  • A theft was reported in the 100 block of South High Street.
  • A theft of fuel was reported in the 100 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
  • A burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Highland Drive.

Property damage

  • Property was reported damaged at Broadbridge and Alpine drives.
  • Property was reported damaged in the 2300 block of Old Cape Road.

Miscellaneous

  • A disturbance was reported in the 300 block of Morgan Street.
  • Harassment was reported in the 300 block of Morgan Street.
  • A request to keep the peace was reported at East Jackson Boulevard and K Land Drive.
