Police report 1/20/09

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Edward E. Messmer, 38, of Chaffee, Mo., and Mark Allen Messmer, 36, of 2857 Themis St., Apt. 5, were arrested on suspicion of stealing. Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported a theft of baby food and packaged meat in connection with the incident.
• John A. Beaman, 26, 1727 Westridge St., was arrested on an Illinois warrant for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated.
• A subject is in custody pending charges for violating a court order.
• A 15-year-old juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of possession of controlled substance.

Summonses

• Shonzae L. Bellamy, 22, 826 Elm St., was issued a summons for possession of a controlled substance.
• Arthur S. Terry, 22, 137 Pin Oak St., Apt. 125, was issued a summons for harassment.

Burglary

n A burglary was reported.

Thefts

• Rhodes 101, 2109 William St., reported a theft of fuel.
• A briefcase was reported stolen at 117 Independence St.

Assault

• An assault was reported.

Miscellaneous

• Fraud was reported.
• Harassment was reported.
• Interference with custody was reported.
