DWI Richard Scott Guthrie, no age given, of Scott City, Mo., was arrested Saturday at the corner of Independence and Sprigg streets on charges of driving while intoxicated and improper lane change.

Summons Robert S. Askew, 32, of 1606 Big Bend Road was issued a summons Saturday on charges of careless and imprudent driving.

Burglary

A burglary was reported Saturday at 1214 Broadway in which a television was taken.

Theft

A Yamaha moped was reported stolen Saturday at 903 S. Sprigg.

A purse and its contents were reported stolen Saturday at 829 S. Kingshighway.

Assault

A second-degree assault was reported Saturday at 3254 William.

A second-degree assault was reported Saturday in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street.

Miscellaneous Tampering was reported Saturday at 1445 Pemiscot.

A 42-year-old man was taken into protective custody Saturday in the 200 block of Morgan Oak.

A check was reported found Saturday in the Cape Girardeau area.

A 55-year-old man was taken into protective custody Saturday at William and Interstate 55.

A vehicle was reported tampered with Saturday at the 800 block of Albert Street.

Child abuse was reported Saturday in the Cape Girardeau area.
