The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests Melvin J. Steward, 17, of 1215 College, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of a marijuana with intent to distribute.
Edward J. Poppen, 29, of 810 Crown St., Marble Hill, Mo., was arrested Thursday on suspicion of driving while revoked, speeding and a seat belt violation.
Dustin E. Winkler, 18, of 667 Country Lane, Jackson, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Sharnette Hiler, 29, of 1116 N. Frederick, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Thursday on a Sikeston warrant for contempt of court.
A person was placed in custody Thursday pending the filing of formal charges for fleeing lawful detention and no driver's license.
Jesse D. Wages, 18, of PCR 620, Perryville, Mo., on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.
Chelsea M. Stahl, 20, of 416 N. Chamber, Apt. A4, Fredericktown, Mo., was arrested Friday on suspicion of possession of alcohol by a minor and an improperly registered vehicle.
Howard E. Thilenius, 18, of 68 Northside, Perryville, Mo., was arrested Friday on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.
Summonses Nozomu Ozaki of 918 N. Sprigg, Apt. B, Cape Girardeau, received a summons Thursday for striking a legally stopped vehicle.
Enrico J. Lange, 19, of 1515 Gregg, St. Louis, received a summons Friday for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Rebecca J. Burg, 18, of 1123 Southgrand Ave., Springfield, Ill., received a summons Friday for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Brett E. Thomas, 19, of Route 58, Weathererby Lane, St. Peters, Mo., received a summons Friday for being a minor in possession of alcohol, failure to yield and driving while suspended.
Lonnie R. Sheppard of 1 James Place, Murphysboro, Ill., received a summons Friday for following another vehicle too closely.
Assaults A person was placed in custody Thursday pending the filing of formal charges for suspicion of domestic assault.
Michael L. Jones, 22, of 508 Cape Meadows, Apt. 25, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Friday on suspicion of domestic assault and property damage.
Gary L. Riddle, 47, of 226 Vicki Lynn, Scott City, was arrested Friday on suspicion of domestic assault.
Christian N. Harris, 30, of 421 S. Ellis, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Friday on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for domestic assault.
Thefts Felony theft was reported Thursday by Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 2008 N. Kingshighway.
A purse and its contents were reported stolen Thursday at 3237 Chateau.
A television was reported stolen and a light cover damaged Thursday by Town House Inn at 505 N. Kingshighway.
Gasoline was reported stolen Thursday by Amoco at 3276 William.
CDs were reported stolen Friday at 2815 Hilldale.
A purse and its contents were reported stolen Friday at 120 N. Main.
Property Damage
A vehicle was reported damaged Thursday at the 200 block of South Lorimier.
A fence was reported damaged Thursday at 136 S. Pacific.Miscellaneous
A 35-year-old woman was placed in protective custody Thursday.
A 15- and a 16-year-old male were cited to juvenile court Thursday for being runaways.
