Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Amy D. Smith, 33, 939 N. Elm St., was arrested on a Jefferson City, Mo., warrant for being a parole absconder.

Thefts

* Walmart, 3439 William St., reported a theft. Edward E. Cureton, 18, of Glenallen, Mo., was arrested in connection with the complaint.

* A theft of telephone service was reported at 224 S. Lorimier St.

* Ozark Gas, 1024 Southern Expressway, reported a theft of tanks.

Miscellaneous

* An 18-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

* An animal bite was reported.

Jackson

The Jackson Police Department released the following items.

Thefts

* A theft was reported in the 100 block of West Jackson Boulevard.

* A theft was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

* A theft was reported in the 1000 block of Anna Street.

* A theft was reported in the 700 block of Aspen Drive.

Property damage

* Property damage was reported in the 500 block of South Shawnee Boulevard.

Miscellaneous

* A disturbance was reported in the 2500 block of Travelers Way.

* A disturbance was reported in the 300 block of North Shawnee Boulevard.
