Jackson police report 8/13/15

JACKSON

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Jerry Looney, 36, 2094 Old Toll Road, No. 27, was arrested on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of speeding.
• Gentry Matthews, 21, of St. Charles, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Cartiez King, 42, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant and a Scott City Warrant.
• Dustin Williams, 26, of Scott City was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
• Clarence Brown Jr., no age given, of St. Louis was arrested on a Jackson warrant on original charges of operating a motor vehicle while license revoked, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to maintain insurance and speeding.
• Vernon Gowan, 39, of Cadet, Missouri, was arrested on a Jackson warrant on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle while operator's license revoked or suspended.

Summons

• Laura Wright, 35, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Assault

• An assault was reported in the 2000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Property damage

• Property damage was reported in the 1700 block of West Independence Street.

Burglaries

• Burglary attempts were reported in the 500 block of North Hope Street, the 400 block of North Shawnee Boulevard and the 700 block of North Hope Street.

Thefts

• Thefts were reported in the 2000 block of Old Toll Road, the 1900 block of East Jackson Boulevard, the 800 block of Dallas Street, the 700 block of Hickory Street, the 100 block of North Bast Street, the 200 block of Morgan Street, the 800 block of Brown Street and the 300 block of North Bast Street.

Miscellaneous

• An assist was requested in the 100 block of West Main Street.
• Check the welfare was requested in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard and the area of Willow Bend and Orchard drives.
• Keep the peace was requested in the 900 block of West Adams Street and the 900 block of Old Cape Road.
• Fraud was reported in the 3900 block of East Jackson Boulevard and the 200 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
• A domestic disturbance was reported in the 200 block of Tracy Street.
• A peace disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Amanda Street.
• Fights in progress were reported in the 400 block of Knox Street and the 300 block of South Missouri Street.
