The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Evan E. Hunt, 25, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Jackson municipal warrant for failure to appear on original charges of failure to register a motor vehicle and speed.
  • James S. Brasfield, no age given, 122 Bellevue St., Apt. 25, was arrested on suspicion of fraudulent use of a credit device, receiving stolen property and forgery.
  • A 16-year-old male was referred to juvenile authorities on suspicion of stealing, receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit device and tampering with a motor vehicle.
  • Cortavian J. Silman, 20, 122 S. Bellevue St., Apt. 25, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

  • Mary B. Wright, 28, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle while operator's license is suspended.

Thefts

  • Theft was reported in the 2600 block of Watson Drive.
  • Theft was reported in the 1200 block of Lenco Avenue.
  • Theft was reported in the 200 block of South Union Avenue.
  • Theft was reported in the 900 block of West Main Street.

Miscellaneous

  • Assists were requested in the area of West Jefferson Street and South Missouri Street; the 2400 block of Brittany Drive; the 2400 block of East Main Street; and the intersection of East Main Street and South Shawnee Boulevard.
  • Check the welfare was requested in the 400 block of Goodson Drive, the 2400 block of East Main Street and the area of East Main Street and South Shawnee Boulevard.
  • Keep the peace was requested in the 400 block of Whetstone Way and the 2000 block of Old Toll Road.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 1400 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
  • Fraud was reported in the 100 block of West Main Street.
  • Fraud was reported in the 4800 block of Parkside Court.
  • Property damage was reported in the 2100 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
  • Found property was reported in the 400 block of East Main Street.
