The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrest
* Kenneth D. Cornwell Jr., 27, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of speeding.
Summonses

* Anthony J. Cruz, 20, 610 Odus Drive, was issued summonses for failure to register a motor vehicle, seat-belt violations and failure to maintain insurance.
* April E. Brown, 22, 312 Henderson Ave., was issued a summons for a seat-belt violation.
Assault
* Assault was reported in the 4000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
Miscellaneous
* Check the welfare was requested in the 100 block of North Georgia Street.
