JACKSON

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Michael L. Bell, 17, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of assault and resisting arrest.
• Randy J. Smith, 49, 2159 Litz Blvd., was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana under 35 grams and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Summonses

• Leigha D. Kopf, 31, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.
• Lex H. Spencer, 20, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Thefts

• Theft was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
• Theft was reported in the 400 block of Marilyn Drive.

Miscellaneous

• Assists were requested in the 2800 block of Hilltop Drive and the 300 block of North Shawnee Boulevard.
• Check the welfare was requested in the 400 block of South Shawnee Boulevard; the 900 and 1200 blocks of East Main Street; in the area of North Farmington Road and Oak Street; and the 800 block of Amanda Street.
• Keep the peace was requested in the 400 block of East Lane; the 600 block of Greensferry Road; and the 500 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
• Fraud was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard and the 100 block of South Shawnee Boulevard.
• Domestic disturbances were reported in the 300 block of North Georgia Street; the 1200 block of East Main Street; and the 600 block of Greensferry Road.
• Court-order violation were reported in the 500 block of South Hope Street; the 1400 block of Orchard Road; and the 2200 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
• Peace disturbances were reported in the 800 block of Eagle Drive; in the area of Independence Street and Forest Street; and the 3000 block of Jackson Boulevard.
• Harassment was reported in the 100 block of North Neal Street.
