JACKSON

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Sheldon L. Thomas, 19, 200 Morgan St., No. 1, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault.

* Christopher A. Welch, 30, of Jefferson City, Mo., was arrested on a Cole County, Mo., warrant.

Summonses

* Marvin H. Best II, 60, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Assault

* An assault was reported in the area of West Independence Street and Symphony Drive.

Burglary

* Attempted burglary was reported in the 900 block of West Main Street.

Property damage

* Property damage was reported in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue.

Miscellaneous

* Check the welfare was requested in the area of City Park.

* Domestic disturbance was reported in the 2200 block of Old Toll Road.

* An assist was requested in the 1000 block of Aaron Drive.

* An assist was requested in the 1700 block of South Hope Street.
