The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests
* Shelley R. Mathes, 40, 77 Aaron Drive, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
* Lawrence A. Guthrie, 45, 1240 Broadridge Drive, was arrested on suspicion of assault, resisting arrest and failure to obey lawful order.
Assault
* A fight was reported in the 500 block of West Independence Street.

* Peace disturbance was reported in the 400 block of East Lane.
* Found property was reported in the area of Rosamund Street.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Sunday:
* Emergency medical service at East Main and Lacey streets.
