Firefighters responded to the following calls Friday:

• At 7:06 p.m., an illegal burn in the unit block of North Benton Street.
• At 7:23 p.m., a car fire at 3100 William St.
• At 11:58 p.m., emergency medical service at 1600 Lexington Ave.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Saturday:

• At 12:12 a.m., emergency medical service in the 500 block of South West End Boulevard.
• At 5:47 a.m., an extrication at the 102 mile marker of Interstate 55 northbound.
• At 11:29 a.m., a medical assist at Broadway and Perry Avenue.
• At 1:08 p.m., a smoke odor in the 300 block of South Lorimier Street.
• At 3:53 p.m., a medical assist in the unit block of South Spanish Street.

Jackson

Firefighters responded to the following calls Saturday:

• A smoke investigation on West Jackson Boulevard.
• A citizen assist on East Lane.
