• At 6:40 p.m., a grass fire at mile marker 94 on southbound Interstate 55.
• At 6:40 p.m., emergency medical service in the 100 block of South Benton Street.
• At 7:20 p.m., a fire alarm at 2852 Independence St.
• At 8:17 p.m., emergency medical service in the 1600 block of North Spanish Street.
• At 10:21 p.m., emergency medical service in the 1000 block of Good Hope Street.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Thursday:

• At 12:34 a.m., emergency medical service in the 1700 block of Lawanda Drive.
• At 8:50 a.m., emergency medical service in the 200 block of Morgan Oak Street.
• At 8:55 a.m., emergency medical service in the 2800 block of Bloomfield Road.
