At 9:35 p.m., smoke detector activated at 1408 Ripley.

At 11 p.m., odor in building at 150 S. Lorimier.

Firefighters responded Friday to the following calls:

At 2:32 a.m., house fire at 1302 Big Bend Road.

At 6:48 a.m., fire alarm at 1701 Lacey.

At 7:57 a.m., alarm sounding at 1224 Linden.
