Cape police reports 1/24/06

Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Lisa M. Picou, 23, of 1021 S. Ellis St., was arrested for driving while suspended, speeding, unlicensed vehicle and no brake lights.

* One person was in custody for driving while revoked, no child restraints, and not having headlights on when wipers were on.

* Ollie M. Betts, 49, of 624 S. Benton St., was arrested on a Butler County warrant for passing bad checks.

* A 16-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court for filing a false report.

* One person was in custody for possession of a controlled substance.

* One person was in custody for possession of anhydrous ammonia.

Assault

* An assault was reported at Hanover and William streets. Aundra D. Wren, 19, of 126 S. Hanover St., was arrested in connection to the complaint.

Thefts

* Cape Foot Clinic, 1345 N. Mount Auburn Road, reported the theft of two checks.

* A theft was reported at 100 West Park Mall. Chad D. Valenti, 28, of 1915 Grandview Lane, was arrested in connection with the complaint and for possession of a controlled substance.

* A motor vehicle was reported stolen at 907 Ellis St.

Burglary

* A burglary was reported at 1018 S. Pacific St. One person was in custody in connection to the crime, which includes the theft of a DVD player, games system and utility tool.
