The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* Jesse L. Thiele, 25, 140 S. West End Blvd., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, no headlamps when required and failure to drive on right side of roadway.

Arrests

* A suspect was in custody pending charges on suspicion of assault on a law enforcement officer, violation of steady red light signal and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

* A suspect was in custody pending charges of possession of a controlled substance.

* Clarence J. Smith, 21, 528 N. Fountain St., was arrested on three Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and costs for leaving the scene of an accident, motor vehicle responsibility required and failure to yield after stopping.

Summonses

* Ashley N. Boitnott, no age given, of Burfordville was issued a summons for improper lane usage.

* Jermaine J. Anderson, no age given, of Charleston, Mo., was issued a summons for striking a stopped vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.

* Alma M. Abernathy, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to yield.

* Tammy L. Tankersley, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to drive in a single lane.

* Kaitlyn J. Henley, no age given, of Kelso, Mo., was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle.

Theft

* Prescription medicine was reported stolen at 232 S. Ellis St.

Miscellaneous

* Animal cruelty was reported.

* A 45-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* A debit card, driver's license, Social Security card and money were reported found at 2842 Whitener St.
