Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Two 16-year-old boys were cited into juvenile court for peace disturbance.
  • Charles J. King, 52, of Olive Branch, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to pay fine for driving while revoked.
  • A suspect is in custody pending formal charges of possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute.
  • A 16-year-old was cited into juvenile court for curfew violation.
  • Robert J. Seyer, 21, 1409 Mississippi St., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for no insurance and probation violation.

Summonses

  • Julie E. Boitnott, 41, 520 Albert St., was issued a summons for a leash-law violation and failure to provide proof of animal license.
  • Derek G. Hoover, 32, 422 N. Frederick St., received a summons for stealing.

Assaults

  • An assault and endangering the welfare of a child were reported.
  • An assault was reported.
  • A domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

  • Identity theft was reported.
  • Medication was reported stolen at 1327 Carolyn Drive.
  • A computer was reported stolen at 807 West Rodney Drive.
  • A computer was reported stolen at 532 Landis Drive.
  • A car battery was reported stolen at 718 Morgan Oak St. A car window was reported damaged in the incident.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at 221 Broadview St.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • A vehicle and mower were reported stolen at 1150 N. Kingshighway.
  • Bi-State Southern, 920 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.

Property damage

  • A window was reported damaged at 1530 Whitener St.

Miscellaneous

  • Phone harassment was reported.
  • A 53-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
  • A peace disturbance was reported.
  • A request for service was reported.
