The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

An 18-year-old male was placed in protective custody Sunday.

Erica Hempstead, 20, of 918 College, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of prohibited acts, noise violation, resisting arrest and walking in the street when a sidewalk was available.

A subject was released Sunday pending the filing of formal charges for delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and for trespassing.

A 35-year-old female was placed in protective custody Sunday.

Sara D. Stephens, 33, of 322 S. Ellis, was arrested Sunday on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.

Billy L. Abernathy Jr. of 524 Albert was arrested Sunday on a Sikeston, Mo., warrant for failure to appear.

A subject was placed in custody Sunday pending the filing of formal charges for hindering prosecution.

Clarice R. Shannon, 25, of 8 Village Drive, Apt. 6, was arrested Sunday on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court, failure to comply for driving while intoxicated, and for driving with a revoked operator's license.

Two 14-year-old males were cited to juvenile court for tampering, resisting arrest and a traffic violation.

Summons

Joseph D. Gray of 923 Good Hope received a summons Sunday for failure to use a sidewalk.Assaults

Joseph D. Broach, 17, of 520 Chesley, and Brian S. Meredith, 19, of 1121 Bloomfield, were arrested Monday on suspicion of assault.

An assault was reported Sunday to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Thefts A CD player was reported stolen Sunday at 809 N. Park.

A CD player and CDs were reported stolen Monday at 1601 Missouri.

Cash and medications were reported stolen Sunday at 1927 N. Kingshighway.

A radio antenna was reported stolen Sunday at 507 Cape Meadows.

Gasoline was reported stolen Monday at D-Mart at 3276 William.

Keys and a checkbook were reported stolen Monday at 805 N. Park.

Property damage

A window was reported broken Monday at 433 S. Hanover.

A vehicle window was reported broken Monday at 1100 N. Spanish.

Miscellaneous

A checkbook and checks were reported found Monday at Arena Park.Jackson

DWI

Johnny Ray Carlson, 46, of 413 N. Farmington Road was issued a summons Wednesday for driving while intoxicated.

Thefts A theft was reported Oct. 1 at 710 Oak St.

A theft and property damage were reported Oct. 1 at 1107 Shawnee Boulevard.

Theft from a vehicle was reported Oct. 1 at 128 N. Bast St.

A theft was reported Oct. 1 at 716 W. Washington.

A theft was reported Oct. 1 at 914 Old Cape Road.

Property damage Damage was reported Oct. 1 at 120 S. Bast St.

Damage was reported Wednesday at 1619 N. High St.
