The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests John O. Miller Jr., 28, of P.O. Box 746, Cairo, Ill., was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stacy Lee Waters, 22, of 3943 Meramac, St. Louis, Mo., was arrested Tuesday on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.

A subject was placed in custody Tuesday pending the filing of formal charges for telephone harassment.

Joseph R. Faries II, 24, of 545 S. Spring, Apt. D, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault, trespassing, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Timothy L. Borel, 36, of 105 N. Clark, Apt. 106, was arrested Tuesday on a Dallas, Texas, warrant for larceny.

A 19-year-old female was placed in protective custody Tuesday.

Phillip J. Swift, 17, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with a stabbing at 100 N. Frederick. He is being held on $40,000 bond. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

Summons Uday Kumar of 6 Village Drive, Apt. 4, received a summons Tuesday for no proof of insurance.

Assaults A sexual misconduct was reported Tuesday to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

A domestic assault was reported Tuesday to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

A subject was placed in custody Tuesday pending the filing of formal charges for assault and domestic assault.

A sexual assault was reported Wednesday to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Thefts Signs were reported stolen Tuesday at Kage and Hopper.

A purple 1995 Dodge Neon was reported stolen Tuesday from 214 S. Park.

A bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday at 234 S. Ellis.

Prescription medication was reported stolen Tuesday at 913 Ranney.

Property Damage Two vehicles were reported stolen Tuesday at 439 Optimist Drive.

Miscellaneous Five instances of forgery were reported Tuesday by Sam's Club at 232 Shirley Drive.

A missing male, 36, was reported Tuesday at 1732 Stoddard Court. He is 6 feet, 175 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Careless and imprudent driving was reported Tuesday at Bloomfield and Hanover.
