The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

• A suspect is in custody pending the filing of formal charges for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Arrests

• A suspect is in custody pending the filing of formal charges for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
• Melvin Steward, 21, of 1215 College St., was arrested on a warrant for probation violation for possession of a controlled substance.
• Adam Norris, 37, no address listed, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court for assault.
• A suspect is in custody pending the filing of formal charges for attempted theft, trespassing and resisting arrest at 45 S. Minnesota St.
• Stephen R. Johnson, 24, no address listed, was arrested for probation violation.
• Jarrod L. Hutcheson, 22, of 1701 W. 416 County Road in East Prairie, Mo., was arrested for probation violation.
• Rodney D. Smith, 18, of 955 Fort St., was arrested for failure to appear for assault charges.
• Truman B. Jackson Jr., 21, of 1207 N. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.

Summonses

• Lucas Cissell, 20, of 3126 Themis St. Apt. 2, was issued a summons for property damage.
• Robert A. Winschel, 26, of 2912 Northern Lights Drive in Arnold, Mo., was issued a summons for property damage and trespassing at 126 S. Louisiana St.
• Jamal C. Jennings, 17, of 20 Winwood Lake Drive, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

Robbery

• Armed criminal robbery, false imprisonment and theft were reported at Dollar General Store, 64 S. Plaza Way.

Thefts

• Theft was reported at 115 N. Fountain St.
• Gasoline was reported stolen from Rhodes 101 Convenience Store, 2109 William St.
• Theft was reported at 1701 Lacy St.
• Theft and property damage were reported at 104 Vantage Drive.
• Theft was reported at Rhodes 101 Convenience Store, 1126 N. Sprigg St.
• Theft was reported at 211 St. Francis Drive.

Property damage

• Property damage was reported at 1000 S. Silver Springs Road.

Miscellaneous

• A subject was taken into protective custody.
• Trespassing was reported at 110 N. Silver Springs Road.
• An animal bite was reported at 1202 Hillcrest Drive.
