Arrests

  • Roy L. Jones, 29, of 834 N. Spanish St., was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and leaving the scene of an accident.
  • Jesus S. Reyes, 17, of 1503 Briarcliff Drive, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
  • Montez M. Baker, 29, of 1819 College St., was arrested on a warrant for stealing.
  • Remonte-Laray B. Rico, 19, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Summons

  • Jamie S. Seabaugh, 30, of Scott City received a summons for third-degree assault.

Assault

  • An assault was reported at 1126 N. Sprigg St. David L. McElrath, 20, of Mounds, Ill., was charged in circuit court with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Thefts

  • Jimmy Johns, 1800 Broadway, reported a theft of money.
  • A maroon 1992 Buick Century was reported stolen at Highway 74 and South Kingshighway.
  • Bi-State Oil Co., 612 S. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Jaspers, 10 S. West End Blvd., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • A theft was reported at 1000 S. Silver Springs Road.

Miscellaneous

  • A request to assist the Division of Youth Services was reported.
  • Telephone harassment was reported.
  • An arson was reported at 422 Good Hope St.
  • Harassment was reported.
  • Child abuse was reported.
