The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Carl L. Wood, 29, of Scott City, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, failure to show proof of insurance and operating an unlicensed motor vehicle.

* Samantha L. Rushing, 28, of Olmsted, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for improper registration.

Thefts

* Missouri license renewal tabs were reported stolen at 2548 Ford St.

* A debit card was reported stolen.

* Kmart, 11 S. Kingshighway, reported the theft of a DVD.

* Identity theft was reported.

Burglaries

* A burglary was reported at 1006 S. Ellis St. A tool set, pool table, clothing, PlayStation game, bicycles, CD change/stereo and speakers were reported stolen.

* A burglary was reported at 519 Amethyst St. Cash and clothing were reported stolen.

Property damage

* A yard decoration was reported damaged at 114 S. West End Blvd.

* Failure to maintain property free of trash and failure to remove vehicle from property was reported. Melissa C. Welker, 35, of 1142 Frederick St., was arrested in connection to the complaint.

* Sexual abuse was reported.

Jackson

The following items were released by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Summonses

* Renee D. Shoemaker, 20, of 115 S. Maryland St., received a summons driving while suspended.

* Sarah E. Noce, 16, of 324 N. High St., received a summons for no valid operator's license, failure to maintain insurance and failure to stop at a posted stop sign.

* Amy M. Bishop, 21, of 1000 Towers Circle in Cape Girardeau, received a summons for failure to stop at a posted stop sign.

Assaults

* An assault was reported in the 200 block of North West Lane.

Thefts

* A theft was reported in the 300 block of North Shawnee Boulevard.

Property damage

* Property damage was reported in the 200 block of North Missouri Avenue.

Miscellaneous

* Two incidents of domestic dispute were reported.

* A disturbance of the peace was reported in the 900 block of Old Cape Road.
