The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrest

* Ernesto J. Garcia, 24, of 45 S. West End Blvd., Apt. 211, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.

Assaults

* Assault was reported.

* Assault and peace disturbance were reported at 909 Broadway. Erik D. Vasser, 30, of Pulaski, Ill., was arrested in connection with the complaint.

* Gary A. Dodd, 50, of Tamms, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child and public consumption of alcohol.

Burglary

* O.D.A.C.S., Integrated Biometric Technology and E. Screens, 836 S. Kingshighway, reported burglary and computer equipment stolen.

Theft

* Car-Mart, 1455 N. Kingshighway, reported an AM/FM CD player stolen.

* Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported a CD stolen. Dave P. Gregory, 24, of Dexter, Mo., was issued a summons in connection with the complaint.

* A purse was reported stolen at 1120 N. Kingshighway.

* D-Mart, 3415 William St., reported gasoline stolen.

* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported gasoline stolen.

* Stealing by deceit was reported at 112 N. West End Blvd.

* A 1989 maroon Mercury was reported stolen at 1209 WIlliam St.

* Relax Inn, 200 Morgan Oak St., reported a fire extinguisher stolen.

* A brown cardholder, Missouri driver's license, Visa card and auto insurance card were reported stolen.

Property Damage

* Property damage was reported at 2830 Independence St. Craig A. Walker, 24, of Kennett, Mo., was arrested in connection with the complaint and on two Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for no operator's license and peace disturbance.

* Tresspasing was reported and two smoke detectors and a front door damaged at 510 S. Frederick St.

Miscellaneous

* Violation of a full order of protection was reported.

* A black bag was reported found on Bellevue Street.

* A 1985 blue Chevrolet Celebrity was reported abandoned.

* A 1979 white Chevrolet van was reported abandoned.

* Attempted suicide was reported.

* A 1989 red Pontiac Sunbird was reported abandoned at Keller Avenue and Independence Street.

Jackson

The following items were released by the Jackson Police Department on Dec. 23 through 26. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Two boys, 12 and 14, were cited into juvenile court on suspicion of illegal use of fireworks.

Summonses

* Bryan K. Skelton, 19, of Oak Ridge, Mo., was issued a summons for failure to stop for a posted stop sign.

* David M. Sloan, 18, of 211 S. Bast St., was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Thefts

* A gun was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Bainbridge Road.

* Theft was reported in the 3000 block of North High Street.

Property Damage

* Tires were reported slashed in the 700 block of Highland Drive.

* Mailboxes were reported damaged in the 2300 block of North High Steet.

* Windows on a backhoe were reported broken in the 6000 block of North High Street.

* Christmas lights were reported damaged in the 500 block of Cedar Street.

Miscellaneous

* An affray was reported in the 500 block of West Main Street.

* Harassment was reported in the 2800 block of South Old Orchard Road.

* Child abuse was reported in the 500 block of John Street.

* A 15-year-old girl was reported as a runaway in the 500 block of Cedar Street.
