Arrests; Thefts

Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Randall Hays, 23, 2114 Kenneth Drive, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest by fleeing and fighting.
  • Karla Stroehlein, 36, 1521 Walnut St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for failure to appear for stealing.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges of resisting arrest by fleeing.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges of domestic assault and false imprisonment.
  • Dana Sheldrake, 29, 1400 S. West End Blvd. No. 28, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation.
  • Amy Babb, 29, of Marston, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of hindering prosecution.
  • Jason Mungers, 22, 309 Mason St., was arrested on Cape Girardeau County warrants for operating a motor vehicle without a license and violating probation and parole, a Dunklin County warrant for second-degree burglary, a Butler County warrant for burglary and a Scott County warrant for property damage.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges of stealing.

Thefts

  • BP Amoco, 3076 William St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Rent A Center, 2136 William St., reported the theft of a computer.
  • Cape Mini Storage, 1915 Golden Eagle Court, reported cash stolen.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at College and Benton streets. A vehicle window was reported broken in the incident.

Burglary

  • A burglary was reported at 2531 Janet Drive. Jewelry was reported stolen in the incident.

Property damage

  • A driver's-side mirror was reported shattered at Broadway and Frederick Street.
  • A vehicle door was reported damaged at 2825 Whitener St.
  • AT&T, 800 Broadway, reported the building spray-painted.

Miscellaneous

  • Harassing phone calls were reported.
  • A request for service was reported.
  • A peace disturbance was reported at 31 N. Henderson Ave.

Jackson

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Thefts

  • Two thefts were reported in the 900 block of West Independence Street.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported in the 2900 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Miscellaneous

  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 1400 block of Old Cape Road.
  • Harassing phone calls were reported in the 2100 block of Otto Drive.
  • A peace disturbance was reported on East Mary Street.
