The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jeffery Barlow, 504 E. Vienna St., Anna, Ill., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for improper registration.
  • Terry Pyles, 45 S. West End Blvd., was arrested on a Crawford County warrant for endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated.
  • A person was arrested at Spring Avenue and Broadway on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Thomas Gene Jordan, 26, 1532 N. Main St., was arrested on warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.

Assaults

  • Two incidents of assaults were reported at 546 S. Sprigg St.

Theft

  • Nearly Perfect Shoes, 209 S. Kingshighway, reported a theft.
  • A leaf blower was reported stolen from 313 North Fountain Street.
  • A wallet was reported stolen from 353 South Kingshighway.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported theft of gasoline.
  • A necklace was reported stolen at 205 Caruthers Ave.

Property damage

  • A window was reported damaged on a 1978 Pontiac Bonneville on Pacific and Morgan Oak streets.
  • Cape Girardeau Public Schools reported a window damaged at 520 Minnesota Ave.
  • A brick and stone wall was reported damaged at 5651 Dalhousie.

Miscellaneous

  • A man was taken into protective custody for prohibited acts.
  • An adolescent was taken into protective custody.
  • An animal bite was reported in the 2500 block of Allendale Drive.
  • A juvenile was cited for fireworks violation in the 1000 block of Sturdivant Avenue.
  • A juvenile runaway was reported.
  • Prohibited acts were reported at 546 S. Sprigg St.
  • Endangering the welfare of a child was reported.

Arrests

  • Johnny Steen, 43, 409 N. Shawnee Blvd., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for driving while revoked and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
  • Nicholas Minor, 38, 2100 E. Outer Road North, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and speeding.

Summonses

  • Glinden C. Doyle, 49, 1346 Perry Ave., was issued summonses for failure to stop at a red light and driving while revoked.
  • Aaron J. McDonald, 18, 752 Wedge Lane, Jackson, received summonses for property damage and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Mitchell A. Baltzell, 17, 243 Hillside Drive, Jackson, received summonses for property damage and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Tyrone Marion, 44, 914 Old Cape Road, was issued summonses for failure to register a motor vehicle and speeding.
  • Amy Leger, 36, 1506 Bird Ave., Joplin, Mo., was issued a summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
  • Justin M. Lapresta, 23, 1404 Lexingtion Ave., Cape Girardeau, was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
  • Sean T. Flynn, 21, 1006 N Frederick, Cape Girardeau, was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
  • Tyler C. Strubbe, 23, 1969 Delwin St., Cape Girardeau, was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
  • Scott K. Ingram, 19, 1430 E. Main St., was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license.
  • Terry L. Amelunke, 17, 3072 County Road, was issued a summons for failure to stop at a posted stop sign.
  • Jeremy D. Voshage, 17, 1004 Greensferry Road, was issued a summons for minor in possession of tobacco products.

Assault

  • A domestic assault was reported in the 200 block of Morgan Street.

Theft

  • A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 1400 block of Old Cape Road.
  • Four thefts were reported from motor vehicles in the 1400 block of Parkwood Circle.
  • Two thefts were reported in the 100 block of West Vale Drive.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen on the 300 block of South Union Avenue.
  • Jasper's reported fuel theft at 3618 E. Jackson Blvd.

Property damage

  • A vehicle was reported damaged in the 100 block of Tracy Street.

Miscellaneous

  • Vandalism and littering was reported in Jackson City Park.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 200 block of North Bast Street.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 100 block of North Georgia Street.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 400 block of North Union Avenue.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 600 block of West Adams Street.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 700 block of Old Cape Road.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 600 block of Jackson Trail.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 2200 block of Ridge Road.
  • A fireworks violation was reported in the 900 block of East Independence Street.
  • A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of South Shawnee Boulevard.
