Cape Girardeau

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • John E. Maglone, 25, of Scott City and Steven Roy Sadler, 25, of Jackson were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Maglone was also arrested for tampering with evidence.
  • A subject is in custody pending formal charges of property damage and stealing.
  • A subject is in custody pending formal charges of possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Charles R. Temple, 320 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.
  • Cortez L. Jones, 18, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court for driving without a license.
  • Martin R. Aide, 17, 3216 Lakewood Drive, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Broderick D. Furlow, 36, 234 N. Lorimier St., was arrested on a Stoddard County warrant for failure to appear for speeding.
  • David E. Penny, 19, of 1601 N. Spanish St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for possession of alcohol as a minor.

Assault

  • A subject is in custody pending formal charges of domestic assault.
  • Two cases of suspected domestic assault were reported.

Summonses

  • Geramey L. Cleaves, 21, of Cairo, Ill., was issued a summons for prohibited acts.
  • Brandon M. Ervin, 18, of 3007 Wisteria Drive, was issued a summons for prohibited acts.

Property damage

  • A window was reported broken at the Life Care Center at 2852 Independence St.
  • A door was reported damaged at 816 North St.

Miscellaneous

  • A credit card and a driver's license were reported lost.
  • A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody for curfew violation.
  • Unlawful use of a weapon and property damage were reported in the 1100 block of S. Ellis St.
  • A 39-year-old man was taken into protectice custody.
  • A 44-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • A bicycle was reported found at 2137 Kent Drive.

Jackson

The following items were reported by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Thefts

  • A theft was reported in the 100 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
  • A theft was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Property damage

  • Property was reported damaged in the 400 block of East Washington Street.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 900 block of West Independence Street.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 700 block of Rosamund Street.
  • A request to check the welfare was reported in the 500 block of South Hope Street.
  • Harassment was reported in the 900 block of West Independence Street.
  • Harassment was reported in the 300 block of Springview Drive.
  • Fraud was reported in the 500 block of West Main Street.
  • Trespassing was reported in the 1500 block of West Independence Street.
  • Three requests to check the welfare were reported in the 100 block of Tracy Street.
