DWI; Arrest

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items Wednesday. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Jonathan Dudley Stephenson, 49, of 2850 Lynwood Hills Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Arrests

  • Betty A. Bryant, 25, of Charleston, Mo., was arrested and received a summons for stealing fashion nails and currency from King Nails, 1131 N. Kingshighway.
  • Christopher M. Johnson, 22, of 531 Boxwood Drive, Apt. 6, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court failure to pay fine and cost for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • James P. Joyce, 42, of 902 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for distribution of crack cocaine and unlawful use of a weapon.
  • Rodrick A. Beard, 31, of Cairo, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court failure to pay fine and cost for striking a legally stopped or parked vehicle.
  • Robert D. Williams, 50, of 140 S. Henderson Ave., was arrested on a parole absconder warrant.
  • A 15-year-old boy was in custody for being beyond parental control.

Thefts

  • Rhodes 101, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported two thefts of gasoline.
  • Cash, prescription medication and miscellaneous paperwork were reported stolen at 1256 Linden St.
  • D-Mart, 3415 William St., reported gasoline theft.
  • Legrand Transmission, 1237 N. Water St., reported a maroon Chevrolet Caprice Classic stolen.
  • Military gear was reported stolen at 1678 Kingsway Drive.
  • Simply a Dollar, 213 S. Broadview St., reported cash stolen in a burglary.
  • A mountain bike was reported stolen at 919 N. Frederick St.
  • CDs were reported stolen at 1408 Ripley St.
  • A purse, medications and jewelry were reported stolen at 19 S. Kingshighway.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at 2857 Themis St.
  • Dietary supplements and clothing were reported stolen at 106 Themis St.

Assault

  • Third-degree assault was reported.

Property damage

  • A vehicle was reported damaged at 414 S. Silver Springs Road. A purse and a camera were reported stolen.
  • Property damage and an abandoned vehicle were reported at 1229 S. Ellis St.

Miscellaneous

  • A Missouri license plate, 443-LJE, was reported lost at 1421 Good Hope St.
  • A cigarette case was reported lost in the 500 block of South Benton Street.
  • Rhema Word Church, 750 Mount Auburn Road, reported trespassing and tampering.
  • Tampering was reported at Perry Avenue and New Madrid Street.
  • A dog bite was reported at 1010 N. Ellis St., Apt. 4.

The Jackson Police Department released the following items Wednesday. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrest

  • Rodrick A. Beard, 31, of Cairo, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant. Beard also was issued a summons for possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.

Summonses

  • Marie Michelle Seabaugh, 57, of 333 Willow Bend Drive, was issued a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.
  • Haley E. Storie, 31, of Glenallen, Mo., was issued a summons for failure to drive within a single lane.
  • Jackie G. Kolse, 36, of 106 S. West Lane, was issued a summons for driving with a revoked license and traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.

Theft

  • A theft was reported in the 1200 block of West Jackson Boulevard.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported on Union Avenue.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance was reported in the area of Kent and Berchman streets.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the area of Hillside Drive and Edgewood Road.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 200 block of Morgan Street.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 900 block of Independence Street.
