Arrests; Jackson: Thefts

Cape Girardeau

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Michael L. Burgfeld, 52, 617 S. Ellis St., was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A suspect was in custody pending filing of formal charges of domestic assault, forcible sodomy and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
  • Linda K. Mathies, 43, of Malden, Mo., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear.
  • Ronald D. Swoboda, 40, 428 Napa Circle, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.
  • Steven R. Johnson, 21, 2849 Themis St., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for probation violation.

Summons

  • Guo Q. Luo, 42, of 209 N. Park Ave., received a summons for posting prohibited notices.

Thefts

  • A firearm was reported stolen at 1008 Bloomfield Rd.
  • Kohl's Clothing, of 315 Shirley Drive, reported stealing. Two girls, both age 16, were cited into juvenile court in connection with the complaint.
  • U-Kwick Stop, 1700 Broadway, reported stolen checks. Qasim Al-Ganzawy, 40, of 2831 Whitener St., Apt. 7, was arrested in connection with the complaint.
  • Steve and Barry's, 134 West Park Mall, reported stealing. Eric Shaffer, 18, of 418 Themis St., Apt. 6, and Alecia J. Zahlen, 19, of 2828 Themis St., Apt. 3, were arrested in connection with the complaint.
  • Jewelry was reported stolen at 1423 Perryville Road.
  • A computer, modem, CD player and laptop computer case were reported stolen at 2826 Whitener St.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen at 417 S. Minnesota Ave.
  • Kmart, 11 S. Kingshighway, reported games, gum and an iPod docking station stolen. Billie B. Worley, 17, of Benton, Mo., was arrested in connection with the complaint. A girl was also cited into juvenile court on suspicion of stealing in connection with the complaint.
  • A purse and camera were reported stolen and a vehicle window reported broken at 1751 Independence St.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported gasoline theft.
  • A Moped was reported stolen at 15 Village Drive, Apt. 32.

The following items were reported by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Thefts

  • A purse was reported stolen in the 100 block of South Shawnee Boulevard.
  • Money was reported stolen in the 1000 block of North High Street.
  • A theft was reported on Veterans Memorial Drive.
  • A theft was reported in the 900 block of West Independence Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 1600 block of Watson Drive.
  • Fraud was reported in the 100 block of South Bast Street.

Miscellaneous

  • Found property was reported on West Jackson Boulevard.
  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of South Farmington Road.
