Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jennifer L. Wamble, 41, of Marston, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing at 100 West Park Mall.
  • Jennifer M. Huffstutler, 26, 10 N. Middle St., was arrested on a New Madrid County warrant for bad checks.
  • Carlton E. Gary, 54, 3109 Themis St., No. 2, was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.
  • Christopher S. Brooks Sr., 44, 1101 Bloomfield St., was arrested on four Cape Girardeau County warrants for probation violation and failure to appear and a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court.
  • Brett M. Dieffenbach, 20, 1102 Village Lane, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for bad checks.
  • Jeremiah R. Maples, 1619 Whitener St., was arrested on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.
  • John P. Dougherty, 40, of Harrisonville, Kan., was arrested on three Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court.
  • An 11-year-old was cited into juvenile court for possession of a controlled substance.
  • Eric Eugene Stinson, 28, of Carterville, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for bad checks.
  • Alonzo Nathan Jones, 27, 1505 Stoddard St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for obstructing police.

Summonses

  • Lance K. Cotner, 26, 603 Timon Way, was issued a summons for prohibited acts.
  • Tyler J. Clark, 1725 David St., was issued a summons for driving while suspended, striking a legally parked vehicle, driving an unlicensed vehicle, failure to show proof of insurance and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway.
  • Trae Charles Bell, 21, 1725 David Drive, was issued a summons for failure to maintain property free of weeds.
  • Donald Lee Hanebrink, Jr., 1003 William St., was issued a summons for failure to maintain property free of trash.
  • Deborah Kay Howard, 533 S. Ellis St., was issued a summons for failure to maintain right half of roadway and failure to show proof of insurance.
  • Megan R. Murphy, 3015 Aspen Drive, No. 125, was issued a summons for failure to yield.
  • Michael Dale Rusher, 1221 Ottawa Lane, Apt. A., was issued a summons for following too close.

Assaults

  • Assault was reported.
  • A suspect was released pending review for domestic assault.
  • Assault was reported.

Thefts

  • Burglary and knowingly burning was reported at 1459 Rand St.
  • A theft of a cell phone was reported at 2120 William St.
  • Metal Cutters LLC, 2086 Southern Expressway, reported a theft of a flatbed trailer.
  • Kidd's, 102 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Jaspers, 10 S. West End Blvd., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Cash was reported stolen at 1927 N. Kingshighway.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
  • A bicycle theft was reported at 815 Illinois Ave.

Property damage

  • A vehicle door was reported damaged at 610 Lafayette Place.
  • A camper was reported damaged at 1032 Sturdivant St.

  • A wallet was found at 3020 Boutin Drive.
  • Interference with child custody was reported.
  • A 52-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • A 24-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

  • Miranda D. Berry, 29, of Marble Hill, Mo., was arrested on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear.

Summonses

  • Alicia N. Bitter, 33, 1125 Cypress Court, was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.
  • Michael L. Fellows, 57, of Jackson, was issued a summons for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
  • Jeremy Wayne Kindhart, 21, of Oak Ridge, was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way.

Thefts

  • Credit card fraud and identity theft were reported in the 2800 block of Main Street.
  • Mail fraud was reported in the 600 block of Strawberry Lane.
  • Tools were reported stolen in the 2100 block of Old Toll Road.
  • A report of theft of medication in the 2900 block of East Main Street.
  • A purse was reported lost in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
  • Theft of office equipment was reported in the 1400 block of Old Cape Road.
  • Theft was reported in the 800 block of Dallas Street.

Miscellaneous

  • A disturbance was reported in the 200 block of North Ohio Street.
  • A disturbance was reported in the 5200 block of Old Cape Road.
  • Trespassing was reported in the 2100 block of Otto Drive.
