Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Brandon M. Ervin, 18, 3007 Wisteria Drive, Lot A, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for prohibited acts, failure to pay court fine, failure to appear for speeding, no operator's license, improper registration and failure to provide proof of insurance.
• A subject was in custody pending formal charges of assault.

Thefts

• A theft of money was reported.
• Rhodes, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of money.

Property damage

• A damaged car hood was reported at Broadway and Fountain Street.

Miscellaneous

• Walgreens, 1 S. Kingshighway, reported a fraudulent attempt to obtain a controlled substance.
• John's Pharmacy, 2011 Independence St., reported a fraudulent attempt to obtain a controlled substance.
• A 56-year-old woman was placed in protective custody.
• Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
• Promoting child pornography was reported.
• A 42-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

Jackson

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Sarah H. Cooper, 31, of West Washington Street, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive within a single lane.

Assault

• An assault was reported in the area of North Farmington Road and West Main Street.

Thefts

• A theft was reported in the 5200 block of Old Cape Road.
• A theft was reported in the 4800 block of Old Cape Road.
• A theft was reported in the 100 block of Georgia Street.
• A theft was reported in the 4800 block of Old Cape Road.
• A theft in progress was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
