* At 5:28 p.m., pilot light problems in the 2400 block of Melrose Avenue.

* At 5:41 p.m., emergency medical service in the 1300 block of North Sprigg Street.

* At 8:22 p.m., alarm sounding at 2027 Broadway.

Firefighters responded to the following items Thursday:

* At 1:16 a.m., alarm sounding at Greek housing.

* At 8:53 a.m., emergency medical service in the 400 block of Silver Springs Road.

* At 9:16 a.m., emergency medical service in the 2100 block of Independence Street.
