The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests
* April J. Dorris, 25, of Caruthersville, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Macy's, 3049 William St.
* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, passing when not permitted, failure to stop at a red light and careless and imprudent driving.
* Malik R. Maxwell, 34, of Memphis, Tenn., was arrested on a Pemiscot County, Mo., warrant for failure to appear for making a U-turn.
* Samantha N. Burks, 26, 2857 Themis St., was arrested on suspicion of stealing.
Summonses
* Christopher A. Messmer, no age given, 2827 Hawthorne Road, was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle and driving while suspended.
* Aaron B. Wendel, no age given, 1910 Sherwood Drive, was issued a summons for failure to yield.
* Arleather Bell, no age given, 223 S. Hanover St., was issued a summons for failure to drive within traffic lane and no proof of insurance.
* Michael J. Welker, no age given, 1927 N. Kingshighway, No. 60, was issued a summons for a stop-sign violation.
* Barbara Gerber, 60, 2019 Kevin Drive, was issued a summons for stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
* Brent M. Collier, 37, 1420 Blue Ridge Road, was issued a summons for a leash-law violation.
Burglaries
* Burglary and theft of cash register and money were reported at Skyview Animal Clinic, 883 S. Kingshighway.
* Burglary was reported at 724 S. Pacific St.
* Burglary and property damage were reported at 2851 Professional Court.
Thefts
* Theft was reported at 1410 Big Bend Road.
* Medication was reported stolen at 1126 S. Ellis St.
* A Nook e-reader was reported stolen at 341 N. Main St.
* Theft of a motorcycle helmet was reported at Themis and Spanish streets.
* A cellphone charger was reported stolen at 302 N. Middle St.
* Theft of money and damage to a window were reported at 1540 E. Riverside Drive.
Property damage
* Vinyl siding and a window were reported damaged at 1018 Good Hope St.
Miscellaneous
* Forgery was reported.
* A 24-year-old man was placed in detention for the mentally ill.
