The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Kimberly D. Counts, 33, of Scott City was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Menards, 535 Siemers Drive.

* Shawn A. Hammock, 22, of Jackson was arrested on a Chaffee, Mo., warrant for failure to appear.

* Derrick D. Reed, 22, 621 Sycamore Circle, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm.

* Shane A. Brito, 31, 1216 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on suspicion of assault on a law enforcement officer.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges for assault.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges for shoplifting at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.

* James D. Noland, 53, 36 N. Henderson Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for walking in the street.

* Tequila W. Smith, 34, of Blytheville, Ark., was arrested on suspicion of stealing, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.

Summons

* Robert D. Weber, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for leaving the scene and striking a legally parked vehicle.

* Assault was reported at Ranney Avenue and Walnut Street.

* Domestic assault was reported.

Burglary

* Burglary and theft of a shotgun, rifle and money were reported at 26 S. Henderson Ave.

Thefts

* Metal was reported stolen at Schafer Auto, 1410 S. Sprigg St.

* An iPhone was reported stolen at Benton Street and Bloomfield Road.

Miscellaneous

* A 45-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.

* A 49-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* A 56-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.

* A 37-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* A 56-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
