The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jessica L. Wait, 31, 212 S. Lorimier St., was arrested on suspicion of assault.
  • Richard T. Gross, 35, of Jackson was arrested at 11 S. Kingshighway on a Jackson warrant.
  • Terrence W. Lipps, 29, 3027 Wisteria Drive, was arrested at 161 West Drive on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance at 161 West Drive.
  • David E. Sorensen, 54, 1519 William St., was arrested on suspicion of displaying certain items prohibited.
  • Christopher L. Pender, 30, of Jonesboro, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.
  • Clarissa D. Shaffer, 18, of Marble Hill, Missouri, was arrested at North Fountain Street and Washington Avenue on an Illinois State Police warrant.
  • Colt S. Buehler, 29, 401 Independence St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for violating a steady signal.
  • Domonique D. Smith, 25, 813 S. Benton St., was arrested at 341 S. Sprigg St. on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Jesse Austin, 27, 733 N. Sunset Blvd., was arrested at 555 Independence St. on suspicion of trespassing.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of driving while revoked at 161 Independence St.
  • Christopher S. Curneal, 54, of Scott City was arrested on a Scott City warrant.

Brandon L. Smallwood, 37, 823 S. Pacific St., was arrested at Independence Street and Keller Avenue on a warrant.

Summonses

  • Jamie L. Cramner, 29, and Josh A. Gholson, 31, both of Jackson, were issued summonses for stealing at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.
  • Kenneth M. Franks, 55, and Jeremy L. Taylor, 43, homeless, were issued summonses for trespassing at 240 S. Benton St.

Thefts

  • Robbery was reported at 500 S. Benton St.
  • Walmart, 3439 William St., reported shoplifting.
  • A cellphone and tablet were reported stolen at 325 N. Lorimier St.
  • Huddle House, 511 N. Kingshighway, reported stealing.

Property damage

  • First State Missouri Bank, 800 N. Kingshighway, reported property damage.
  • Windows were reported damaged at 211 Bellevue St.

Miscellaneous

  • A mentally-disordered person was detained/conveyed in the 300 block of Middle Street.
  • Interference with custody was reported.
  • A 31-year-old man was taken into protective custody on Plaza Way.
  • Saint Francis Medical Center, 211 St. Francis Drive, reported forgery.
  • A weapons violation was reported in the 1000 block of Pear Street.
  • A nuisance violation was reported at 1441 N. Main St.
