The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* Darin E. Scruggs, 43, 1537 N. West End Blvd., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

Arrests

* Velma D. Barnett, 37, of Benton, Mo., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.

* Galen L. Osborne, 21, of Scott City was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for resisting arrest.

* Keiven S. Cole, 26, 334 N. Fountain St., was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest.

Summonses

* Florita L. Runnels, no age given, 422 Bellevue St., Apt. A, was issued a summons for following too closely and failure to show proof of insurance.

* Michael A. Pannell, no age given, of Olmsted, Ill., was issued a summons for failure to show proof of insurance and striking a legally stopped vehicle.

Assault

* Assault and unlawful use of a weapon were reported at 410 Kiwanis Drive.

* Rhodes, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported gasoline stolen.

* Shell, 3415 William St., reported gasoline stolen.

* Schnucks, 19 S. Kingshighway, reported money stolen.

* A purse was reported stolen at 1920 Perryville Road.

Miscellaneous

* A false bomb threat was reported.

* Forgery was reported.

* A 49-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.

The Department of Public Safety released the following items.

* An iPhone was reported stolen in a parking lot.

* Cash was reported stolen at New Hall.
