The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* A male subject was in custody pending charges of driving while intoxicated.

Arrests

* Harvey E. Gaddy, 44, 15 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for trespassing.

* Ricky O. Gamble Jr., 25, of Mounds Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for no seat belt.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges for rape and sodomy.

* William G. Beggs, 25, of Scott City was arrested on suspicion of theft at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.

* Nellie A. Barnett, 41, 1739 Dunklin St., Apt. B, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court for failure to comply.

* Subjects were in custody pending formal charges of assault and theft at Kmart, 11 S. Kingshighway.

* Joseph Russell Hurt, 24, no address given, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for domestic assault.

* Paul L Ayers, 37, 1131 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.

* Nakita M. Grubbs, 21, 291 Estate Drive, Lot 143, and Taylor D. Weaver, 19, 618 Cordova Lane, were arrested for suspicion of stealing at Walmart, 3439 William St.

* A male subject was in custody pending charges of stealing at Walmart, 3439 William St.

* Melissa Bray, no age or address given, was arrested for suspicion of theft.

* Alexander Walker, no age or address given, was arrested on a Alexander County, Ill., warrant for failure to appear for a traffic violation.
