The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Joshua Stanley, 30, of Oran, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of stealing miscellaneous items from Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • A juvenile was cited on suspicion of resisting or interfering with arrest and a fireworks violation at 1415 Independence St.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon at 45 N. Henderson Ave.

Summonses

  • Samantha C. Schrum, 22, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for display of certain items prohibited.
  • David A. Weber, 41, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for animal leash law and animal city license at 108 S. Hanover St.

  • Second-degree burglary and theft of medication were reported at Medicenter Pharmacy, 465 S. Mount Auburn Road.

Thefts

  • A wallet was reported stolen from a motor vehicle at West Park Mall, 3049 William St.
  • A wallet, its contents and an iPhone charger were reported stolen from a motor vehicle at 1915 Monterey St.
  • A PlayStation 4 was reported stolen from 508 Albert St.

Property damage

  • Damage to a storefront window was reported at 505 Good Hope St.
  • Damage to a patrol car was reported at 400 S. Benton St.
  • Damage to a screen door and trespassing were reported at 728 Hickory St.
  • Numerous mailboxes were reported damaged on Silver Campine Lane, Kent Drive and Sussex Drive.

  • An animal bite was reported.
