The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Kevin J. Dennis, 36, of Benton, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of failure to display license plates, driving with a revoked license and possession with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of violating an order of protection and trespassing.

* Two 16-year-old boys were cited into juvenile court for a curfew violation.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

* James Jamaal Carter, 916 Linden St., was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from Walmart, 3439 William St.

Summons

* Donald E. Charles Jr., 39, 246 East St., received a summons for indecent exposure and conduct.

Assault

* An assault was reported.

Thefts

* Kidds, 103 N. Kingshighway, reported gasoline stolen.

* Bi-State, 612 S. Sprigg St., reported gasoline stolen.

* Checks were reported stolen at 1401 N. Mount Auburn Road.

* Electronics, a cell phone, money and a purse were reported stolen at 903 S. Sprigg St.

* A wallet was reported stolen at 105 S. Spanish St.

Property damage

* A vehicle windshield was reported damaged at 315 Mason St.

* Forgery was reported.

* A 49-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

* A 40-year-old woman was placed in protective custody.

* Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported at 40 S. Sprigg St.
