Arrests

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

* A suspect was in custody, pending the filing of formal charges, on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault.

* John Oliver, 26, Cairo, Ill., was arrested on a warrant.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and stealing.

* Anthony A. Avetta, 25, homeless, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

* Crystal Marlone Hackworth, 26, unknown address, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance.

* Andrew Kevin O'Kelly, 25, 1954 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for a probation violation.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of second-degree assault.

* Brandon E. Dean, 20, 245 N. Park St., was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

* Melvin T. Nelson, 38, 121 E. Rodney St., was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine.

* Jaques P. Delisle II, 33, 210 S. Hanover St., was arrested on suspicion of assault.

* Herman G. Jackson Jr., 18, of Kennett, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing a headset from Walmart, 3439 William St.

* Darius L. Washington, 21, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Sikeston Department of Public Safety warrant for contempt of court for driving while suspended and a Mississippi County warrant for a probation violation of nonsupport.

* Matthew R. Henson, 19, of Chaffee, Mo., received a summons for indecent exposure.

* Medication was reported stolen at 1927 N. Kingshighway.

* A DVD player was reported stolen at 217 Minnesota Ave.

* A cell phone was reported stolen at 1565 N. Kingshighway.

* Various tools were reported stolen at 829 S. Kingshighway.
