The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Gary S. Sykes, 30, 45 S. West End Blvd., No. 503, was arrested on a Festus, Mo., warrant for failure to appear for driving while suspended and a Jefferson County, Mo., warrant for driving while suspended.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of second-degree domestic assault.

* Bertrell Bridges Jr., no age given, 2843 Whitener St., No. 7, was arrested on suspicion of false declaration.

Burglary

* Burglary and theft of a television and entertainment center was reported at 716 S. Ellis St.

Theft

* Theft of a firearm and accessories was reported at 1543 Briarcliff Drive.

* Theft of an iPad and accessories and sunglasses was reported at 1709 Westridge Drive.

* Theft of a cell phone was reported at 611 S. West End Blvd.

* Theft of a purse and its contents was reported at 1565 N. Kingshighway.

* Theft of electronics from a vehicle was reported at 2001 Evergreen Drive.

* Theft of a Missouri license plate was reported at 213 Clark Ave.

* Theft of a debit card was reported at 445 S. Spring Ave.

* Theft of a purse was reported at 17 Schonhoff Lane.

* Theft of cash was reported at 137 S. Spanish St.

* Barbara J. Morris, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for improper lane change.

* Cody R. Kerr, no age given, of Villa Ridge, Ill., was issued a summons for failure to drive on right half of roadway.
