CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Robert J. Haynes, 22, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for contempt of court for failure to pay fines.
• Leslie E. Goldsmith III, 35, 2034 Broadway, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to have a license.

Summonses

• Jordan L. Smith, 25, of Jackson was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
• Michelle L. Avery, no age given, of Sikeston, Missouri, was issued a summons for striking a lawfully stopped vehicle.

Thefts

• Lottery tickets were reported stolen at Huck's, 353 S. Kingshighway.
• A debit card was reported stolen at 13 N. Fountain St.
• Clothing was reported stolen at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Burglary

• Burglary was reported at 1105 Linden St.

Assault

• Domestic assault was reported.

Miscellaneous

• Abuse of a child was reported.
• A 23-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
• A 19-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
• Endangering the welfare of a child was reported.
