The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Bryant F. Hawkins, 26, of Advance, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of damaging a car door.
  • Three juveniles were cited into juvenile court on suspicion of assault.
  • A suspect was in custody pending charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving without a valid driver's license and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Summonses

  • Christopher D. Petty, 25, and Jhonte L. Tucker, 24, both of Cape Girardeau were issued summonses for a peace disturbance.
  • Miranda Goodwin, 39, of Wyatt, Missouri, and Valerie A. Smith, 52, of Charleston, Missouri, were issued summonses for stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

  • A peace disturbance was reported at Themis and North Lorimier streets.
  • Counterfeiting was reported at North Kingshighway and Lexington Avenue.
  • Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported on Good Hope Street.
