The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Sherikia Y. Patterson, 35, 521 S. Frederick St., was arrested at 1008 N. Kingshighway on a Dunklin County, Missouri, warrant for fraud -- insufficient funds.
  • Lee M. Jones, 28, of Chaffee, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for stealing.
  • John A. Baxley, 37, of St. Louis was arrested on Interstate 55 on a St. Louis Police Department warrant for felony child neglect.
  • Jeremy T. Schlitt, 33, of Ava, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for leaving the scene of an accident.
  • Latonio T. Jones, 33, 2842 Independence St., No. 19, was arrested at Schonhoff Lane and Gordonville Road on two Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear for non-support and assault.
  • Stuart B. Ellis, 30, of Perryville, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for suspended license and a Perry County, Missouri, warrant for failure to obey a judge's order -- driving while revoked.
  • Stephen D. Sheldrake II, 34, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was arrested at 1925 Broadway on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for felony probation violation.
  • Thomas J. Easley, 29, of Jackson was arrested at South Frederick Street and Jefferson Avenue on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear for failure to yield and a Scott City warrant for driving without a valid license.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of receiving stolen property.

Assault

  • Domestic assault was reported.

Burglary

  • Burglary, theft and property damage were reported at Red Star Baptist Church, 1301 N. Main St.

Thefts

  • A bag and computer were reported stolen.
  • A motor vehicle was reported stolen at Old Sprigg Street Road and Lexington Avenue.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen at 21 S. Hanover St.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported at 511 Themis St.
  • Damage to weather trim around doors was reported at 416 Fitzgerald St.

Miscellaneous

  • Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported at 911 Ranney Ave.
  • A 43-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
  • Sexual misconduct was reported.
