The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Michael D. Smith, 56, homeless, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

* An 11-year-old girl was taken into custody on suspicion of assault.

* Angela R. Applewhite, 32, 216 S. West End Blvd., and Maxine Curry, 46, 510 Middle St., were arrested on suspicion of stealing at Walmart, 3439 William St.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

* Kyrek S. Purdiman, 22, of Mounds, Ill., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a seat-belt violation.

* Preston R. Hattenhauer, 18, homeless, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.

* Taylor S. Miinch, 21, of Marquand, Mo., and Eric J. Brashear, 21, 2812 Themis St., Apt. B, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Summonses

* Bruce A. Baker, 42, 2607 Prairie Lane, received a summons for excessive weed growth.

* Garrett A.W. Kelso, 18, of Chaffee, Mo., received a summons for suspicion of stealing at Walmart, 3439 William St.

* Clayton C. Leming, 21, 2812 Themis St., Apt. B, received a summons for possession of marijuana.

Assault

* Domestic assault, burglary and property damage were reported.

Burglary

* A burglary and the theft of tackle boxes and fishing poles were reported at 1915 N. Kingshighway.

Thefts

* An iPhone and case were reported stolen at 11 S. Kingshighway.

* A radar detector, DVD player, DVDs and a CD were reported stolen at 2024 Anthony Drive.

* A shotgun was reported stolen at 2111 Woodhaven Road.

* Rhodes 101, 2109 William St., reported fuel stolen.

* The theft of a firearm was reported at 1812 Evondale Drive.

Property damage

* Property damage was reported at 1400 S. West End Blvd.

Miscellaneous

* A 52-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.

* A 33-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.

* Fraudulent use of a credit/debit device was reported.

* Fraudulent use of a credit/debit device was reported at 906 N. Frederick St.

* Peace disturbance was reported.
