The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Monteal T. Pearson, 21, 716 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on suspicion of assault.

* Veronica S. Stout, 42, Herrin, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

* Cori A. Jackson, 26, Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for passing bad checks.

* Brandee R. Young, 33, of Bolivar, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear.

* Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

* A juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of property damage.

* William R. Crass, 31, of Oran, Mo., was arrested on three Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for improper registration, seat belt violation and assault.

* Daniel J. McTurnan, 28, of Bloomfield, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation for drug paraphernalia.

* Carmen R. Hill, 40, 401 S. Hanover St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for improper registration.

Summonses

* Diana L. Campbell, 55, and Selina F. Campbell, 41, both of 1213 Jefferson Ave., were issued summonses for stealing at Dollar General Store, 64 S. Plaza Way.

* Sean M. Davis, 25, 2859 Whitener St., was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

* Courtney M. Baughn, no age given, 2846 Whitener St., was issued a summons for failure to yield.

* Scott D. Penny, no age given, 115 Omaha Lane, was issued a summons for following too close.

* Henry L. Mirgaux, no age given, of Scott City, was issued a summons for following too close.

* Mary S. McNew, no age given, 2327 Belleridge Pike, was issued a summons for following too close, and Brittany D. Newson, no age given, 121 E. Rodney Drive, was issued a summons for an unlicensed vehicle and driving while suspended.

* Anthony L. Wilson, no age given, 74 Centinnial Drive, was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.

* Joda L. Stict, no age given, 282 D St., was issued a summons for following too close.

* Michael E. Gardner, no age given, 3513 Mallard Drive, was issued a summons for following too close.

* Assault and armed criminal action were reported at South Benton Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Burglaries

* American Motors, 915 Broadway, reported burglary and theft.

* Burglary and property damage were reported at 1401 Randol Ave.

Thefts

* Theft from a vehicle was reported at 716 N. Sprigg St.

* Theft of a purse was reported at 615 Lafayette St.

* Bi-State Southern, 920 N. Kingshighway, reported fuel stolen.

* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported fuel stolen.

* Theft of copper wire was reported at 555 N. Sprigg St.

* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported fuel stolen.

Property damage

* Property damage and unlawful use of a weapon were reported 916 Jefferson Ave.

* Property damage was reported at 3029 Mimosa St.

Miscellaneous

* Counterfeiting was reported at 1624 N. Kingshighway.

The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Public Safety released the following item.

DWI

* Leah M. Goodwin, 22, of O'Fallon, Mo., was issued a summons for driving while intoxicated.
