The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Austin C. Broughton, 24, of New Madrid, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong direction at North Water and Independence streets.

Arrests

  • Tony D. Walden Jr., 25, 566 Green Acres Drive, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, property damage and trespassing at 817 Illinois Ave.
  • A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of trespassing at 435 N. Frederick St.
  • Ryan Anthony Sanders, 26, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for speeding.
  • Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of robbery.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon.

  • Missouri license plate MY7-X4J was reported stolen at 1906 S. Sprigg St.

Property damage

  • Scratches to a vehicle were reported at 537 N. Sprigg St.
  • A boat window was reported broken at Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., 1350 N. Water St.

Miscellaneous

  • A 24-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
  • A 20-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
  • Interference with custody was reported.
