The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Two suspects were in custody pending formal charges of stealing clothing at J.C. Penney, 3049 William St.
  • Two boys, ages 13 and 14, were cited into juvenile court on suspicion of assault.
  • Two 12-year-old girls were cited into juvenile court on suspicion of assault.
  • Sherry Lynn Niederbrach, 29, 219 N. Henderson Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for stealing.

Summonses

  • Joshua L. Faulkner Sr., 40, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for display of certain items prohibited, nuisance declared, failure to maintain private property free of litter and animal city license required.

  • Assault was reported.
  • Domestic assault was reported.

Burglary

  • Burglary, property damage and theft of Xboxes, games and a television were reported at 712 S. Pacific St.

Thefts

  • Theft of a wallet and its contents and fraudulent use of a credit or debit device were reported.
  • An alarm cover was reported stolen at 1225 William St.
  • A credit card was reported stolen.
  • A blue 2001 Dodge Caravan was reported stolen from 520 S. Sprigg St.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance was reported.
  • A 33-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • Harassment to frighten or disturb another person was reported.
  • Counterfeiting was reported.
  • Passing a bad check was reported at Sunny Side Up, 2100 William St.
  • A 41-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
