The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and no insurance at Lexington Avenue and North Sprigg Street.

Arrest

  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of stealing, possession of a controlled substance in jail, and resisting/interfering with arrest.

Summons

  • Anthony L. Sinks, 39, of Sikeston, Missouri, was issued a summons for assault.

Assaults

  • Domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful use of a weapon were reported.
  • Assault was reported at South Ranney Avenue and Hickory Street.
  • Assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon were reported at 28 N. Pind Wood Lane.

Thefts

  • Money, a cellphone, tablet and prescription medication were reported stolen at 211 St. Francis Drive.
  • Shoplifting was reported at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.
  • Gregory Construction reported numerous items were reported stolen at 1329 Southern Expressway.
  • Stealing and forgery were reported at 52 N. Pind Wood Lane.
  • Stealing was reported at 1416 William St.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported at 1432 William St.

Miscellaneous

  • Request for service was reported.
  • Exploiting the elderly or disabled was reported on North Silver Springs Road.
  • A 26-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and improper turning were reported at Shawnee Parkway and South West End Boulevard.
  • An animal bite was reported at Broadway and Houck Place.
  • A false report was made on Pind Wood Lane.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Willis Stiltner Jr., 45, of Marble Hill, Missouri, was arrested at West Adams and Unions streets on suspicion of two counts of forgery.
  • William B. Simmons, 40, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Talon Drive on suspicion of second-degree assault.
  • Heather D. Dieffenbach, 33, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for four counts of fraudulent use of a credit-debit device.
  • Garmeisha C. Terry, 30, of Cape Girardeau was arrested at Morgan Oak and South Sprigg streets on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation for possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Shirley K. Barber, 22, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Windy Hill Lane on a Scott County warrant for probation violation for first-degree child molestation.
  • Gregory L. Nicholson, 46, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and third-degree assault.
  • Rodger D. Wallman, 54, of Jackson was arrested on U.S. 61 on suspicion of driving while revoked-driving while suspended.
  • Christopher M. McLeod, 39, no address, was arrested on North High Street on suspicion of driving while revoked-driving while suspended.
  • Sherry S. Sturm (Hartle), 48, of Jackson was arrested at North Kingshighway and North Cape Rock Drive on suspicion of driving while revoked-driving while suspended.
