The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Christi M. Gonzalez, 38, no address given, was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault.
• Tracy L. Beasley, 45, no address given, was arrested at 2806 Independence St. on a Perry County, Missouri, warrant.

Assault

• Domestic assault was reported.

Burglary

• Burglary was reported at 1920 Whitener St.

Thefts

• A cake was reported stolen at Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, 2021 Independence St.
• Clothing was reported stolen at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.

Miscellaneous

• Possession of a controlled substance was reported at North Sprigg Street and Washington Avenue.
