The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • John J. Pavelonis, 29, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for driving while intoxicated and following too close.

Arrests

  • Venessa K. Oliphant, 22, 4161 Hopper Road, was arrested on a Scott City warrant for failure to appear.
  • Casey L. E. Hornburg, 29, of Marston was arrested on a New Madrid County warrant for failure to appear.
  • Two suspects are in custody pending filing of formal charges for resisting/interfering with arrest, possession of marijuana, possession with intent, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain trailer plates.

  • Bruce L. Jordan, 30, of Poplar Bluff was issued a summons for shoplifting at 11 S. Kingshighway.
  • Victoria R. Idom, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to yield.
  • Tonie M. Payeur, no age given, of St. Louis was issued a summons for striking a lawfully stopped vehicle.
  • Richard F. Wieser, 60, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for animal leash law violation.

Thefts

  • A Kindle Fire and case were reported stolen at 909 Hackberry Street.
  • A motor vehicle was reported stolen at 16 N. Park Street.
  • Identity theft was reported.
  • Identity theft was reported.

Property damage

  • Damage to vehicles was reported at 2030 Woodlawn Avenue.

Miscellaneous

  • A 2004 silver Kia Spectra was towed from 22 N. Park Street.
  • A 25-year-old male was placed in protective custody.
